PB&J Sandwich

This polish reminds me of my dad. He loved his peanuts and his peanut butter. I happen to like mine chunky. :) It's the only one of my official collection released that I have not already swatched and I wore it today.

There are gold and copper medium hex and the same tiny hex. It also has a purple shimmer that is not the same as the purple base color and maybe a sprinkle of holo. I wanted it to be interesting and yummy.

I've wanted grape jelly and peanut butter all day long.
Hope to see you soon!!!

Remembrance

In memory of all the men and women that have given their life and limb in any form or fashion in service or our country. My father came home whole, but suffered always from the effects of Malaria. War leaves its marks even if you cannot see the evidence.

Say thank you to our troups today!

Ants at my Picnic! :)

I know you lovely ladies are probably sick of seeing my polishes, but this is one I failed to preview. I am wearing it today. I have on two coats and no underwear other than base coat. I think it would look great over a white or even another color. I will try to find time to swatch it and show you that if anyone is interested.

It almost qualifies as a palette cleanser for me. The glitter keeps it interesting. It has medium iridescent, black, red, white, and silver hex. There is also tiny red glitter.

I really wanted to stamp ants on it, but I had to leave. Maybe later.

What do you think? Would you like to see it over white or other colors? This is available for purchase here.

Have a great day! ✿

My entrance into the Indie world...dundadaduh...

First, Dark Shadows the collection. It's a very funny movie ;) Pictures from IMDB.
Ordering information is here.

I've previously posted about Josette and Carolyn. Here are the rest. Dr. Julia also belongs with this collection, but I don't know that anyone likes her. ;)

All of these are two coats. I used one coat of Sally Hansen Insta Dri as a top coat on all of them except Barnabas. I did not top coat it at all. I am very happy with the formula on all of them.

Angelique Bouchard, the villianess. Don't tell me that's not a word. She murdered ... well I guess I shouldn't give secrets away? She's beautiful, but there are dark bits behind her perfect glowing shiny surface.

Victoria Winters, so virginal, so sweet. Barnabas' love.

Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the current matriarch of the remaining Collins family. Beautiful, elegant, a bit haunted. I'm not a huge vampy fan, but I love this one...love it.

And finally, the man himself! Barnabas Collins. What can I say???

Second, and most proudly, my Memorial day release, Summer Collection. This one will have a few more added to it, but I wanted it out for Memorial day.

Do I Dare eat a Peach, Daisy, Sour Apple, Remembrance, Ants at my Picnic and PB&J Sandwich. These are very near and dear to my heart. You see, I have numerous veterans in my family. My grandfather, father, uncles, father-in-law, brother, and several nephews have all served in foreign wars. Those span WW1 to the current! Remembrance is very emotionally charged for me.

I've previously posted Sour Apple. Here are some of the others.

I'm missing mani shots of Ants at my Picnic, and PB&J Sandwich. I will post those tomorrow. Do I Dare eat a Peach? is in development and I will post shots of it as soon as I get it perfected.

Daisy, a bit unusual, but if you are brave or just love yellow, sunshine, daisies, and jelly finish. You will love this polish. It has a great formula. It's super shiny. This is two coats with Sally Hansen Insta Dri top coat.
Ordering information is here.
(Disclaimer: my pinkie is damaged so please ignore it)

This is PB&J Sandwich. My dad loved peanut butter. Loved it! I've been known to eat it straight ;) I will post a mani tomorrow. I just ran out of light and time.

Remembrance. For all our men and women, there is blue and pink glitter in a navy base (my brother was Navy). White square, red, blue, and silver glitter with a dash of gold holo.

The little boy in the left corner of this picture, earned 4 bronze star medals during WWII in the New Guniea campaign under General Douglas MacArthur while his brother, also in the picture was serving under General George Patton. One brother was allowed to remain state stateside. I was able to meet General Omar Bradley (also from WWII) several years ago. I wish I had been smart enough to ask questions then.

"To be eligible for the Bronze Star Medal, a military member must be getting hostile fire/imminent danger pay, during the event for which the medal is to be awarded."

Remember all of our military next weekend.

Trind Balsam

A few months ago I started using a nail conditioner before my manis, Trind Balsam nail conditioner. I paint a brush full on each hand. One brush full does one hand. Maybe I'm stretching it too thin, but that's what I'm doing. I wait a couple of minutes and then massage any leftover into the nail and cuticle. I first read about this over at loodie loodie loodie. Loodie made it sound so wonderful, I just had to try it and I knew I needed something, badly.

Here are some before and afters.
Before

After one month

After two months (other lotions and potions I use)

After three months

The last two I have goo of one sort or another on, so the results are distorted a bit. My pinkie in the last picture is injured (same on both hands) from typing with my nails too long. However, I think you can see in the first and second picture the main results. There was quite an improvement don't you think? I was thinking today it wasn't helping much, but when I looked back at these pictures, I see how far I've really come, I think it has helped.

I still have some peeling that I did not have last year, but I'm also swatching and changing more often these days. :)

Here's a link to a video they have. I am only using the one product, the Balsam conditioner. I think I found it on Amazon for the lowest pricing.

I hope you find this useful. Do you have any secret treatments that have helped you?
Have a great day!

Dark Shadows Dr. Julia

Just a few quick pictures of Dr. Julia from my Dark Shadows collection. This is a coppery red with gold flecks and blue glitter.

They are being rebottled for resale, but this is the entire collection in it's infancy. I have it and another collection. My entrance into the indie world.

I would love to hear your feedback on this and the others I've posted. :)
Hope to see you soon!
