Franken Gladys (no Pips)

I love Dancing with the Stars. :) A former supervisor got me started watching, and I have watched since then. He and his wife were taking classes and I thought it was really cool.

Tonight I'm posting a franken that I'll add to my giveaway. I've named it Gladys (no Pips) in honor of Gladys Knight. It matches her outfit from last night.

From ABC.com

Seriously, how amazing is she? Her smile and attitude. She can sing...I mean SING. And, put it out there at almost 68. Wow! I want to be like that.

This dries pretty fast, but it needs a couple of topcoats to be smooth. Glitter is hon-gray! I used Lynnderella's Glitter Tamer and Nubar Diamont to feed it. You could probably use Instant Artificials or Gelous and another quick dry.

This is how it started. Lesson for today, it's harder to blend if you put the glitter in first. But I did carefully measure my glitter this time! Yay! So, at least I know how much went in. It was 2 tads blue and 3 tads green. That's a real measurement did you know? It's from the tkb measuring spoons.

Reminder - Drink your water! It's the best moisturizer. My hands will tell you when I haven't. :/

I have a question for you also. Do you prefer Rafflecopter to leaving comments and random drawings? I'd really appreciate your feedback!
Thanks for looking!

  1. I love using the TKB spoons to get measurements for my frankens. Where did you find this matte neon glitter?

    1. It's a Stampendous glitter. It came in a set called Flashback 80's (I hope that's the right decade). Be forewarned that most Stampendous glitters including most in this 5 glitter set are not stable in polish :( Aren't they fun though! :)

  2. Very pretty! I need to order some more frankening supplies from TKB. I wish they weren't having such a lacquer shortage because I could really use some of that as well.

    1. Thank you! Omy goodness, the great lacquer shortage. I've been thinning mine (it's ... 2 years old at least). I'm trying to keep it working for me until I can get my hands on more. Since I'm not an etailer, it may be a while and I have franken fever. What am I going to do???
