Trick or Treat!

I finally made myself sit down and clean my camera off. I really need to keep up better. This is going to be a LONG post. Since it is still Halloween in the US, I'll start with a Halloween mani.

This is Revlon Powder Puff. I love the blue shimmer this polish has. I have a backup of it and I'm so glad I do. It's one that I use repeatedly. The graveyard stamp is an SdP stamp. The dots are almost too many polishes to mention! I love them all and just kept adding dots. So, not the best dot job. A couple of my favorites were Darling Diva Slutty Pumpkin and Sally Hansen Turquoise Opal (thank you G!).

Next up is one I copied from the Sally Hansen Salon Effects. I used Essence Oh My Glitter! I need to go grab several backups of this one. I love it!!! The plates I used were Bundle Monster 213, Dashica SdP 76 and Chez Delaney T13.

Next up is China Glaze Riveting. I passed this one up when it first came out. I noticed it in the clearance section at Ulta and picked it up. OH WOW! It's on Fire!

The stamps I used are Chez Delaney D03 for the Jack O' Lantern face and H12 for the stripes.

Next I have for you Orly Dayglow and some patchwork candy corn. Dayglow reminds me of Powder Puff in the bottle, but on the nail the shimmer is not as strong (not there?). It is more opaque also.

I stamped first with Cheeky 10 in Konad yellow (wide stripes). Next I stamped narrow stripes using Cheeky 6 and Konad Orange. Finally, I stamped with Red Angel 108 and Konad Black. I was pretty happy with the overall effect.

I use the Deborah Lippman method for polish removal. Tearing small pieces of cotton ball and saturating them with remover, I lay them on my nail for a few seconds. Then, I wipe them off. I thought it was really funny that the design came off cleanly on these. :)

Lastly for this month, another BCA. I used Illamasqua Devotee and Nubar Baby Pink. This picture is not terribly color accurate, but the whole mani was a fail. For some reason, I thought the Cheeky plate on my ring finger was I  my bff and would be somewhat appropriate. derp... Obviously it was not. lol. I did like the color combination however.

I used Nubar Baby Pink to stamp with Cheeky 53. The ribbons are from Bundle Monster 321 using Konad pink.

Hope you had a safe and fun Halloween & October!

Nfu-Oh 58 for cracked pumpkins?

This is an archived mani, but I thought I'd bring it up from the vault for you since I'm being so slow on new things. I still like it and think it's funny.

I used Nfu-Oh 58 as a base and an Orange crack that I found at Walgreens. I really liked how the flakiew in the Nfu-Oh glimmered through the cracks like the flames in a Jack-o-Lantern. The plates I used to stamp with were Bundle Monster 13 and two from Chez Delaney, D03 and D04.

I'm still not sure how I managed to reverse the lettering in the next one. lol  It was on my non-dominate hand so I must have been trying too hard. Notice my webs look better? That's what usually happens. I do better on my hand that I can't photo easily...except of course for the reversed lettering...smh.

And here is Nfu-Oh 58 alone. So gorgeous!!!
Happy Halloween!

In the mood for a pumpkin

I don't typically wear coral/orange polishes a lot, but I love this one. Particularly, I like to do something like this mani with it. Even if it's not Halloweenish.

This is Claire's Mood polish Excited. I used a single pumpkin from BM-222  with Finger Paints Curator's Coral. The leaves are from a Dashica plate Sdp-79. My hands are cold frequently, so the pumpkins stayed hidden, but when I washed them or warmed them up...I had pumpkins!

See you soon!

DL Makin' Whoopee and Pahlish Little Caroline

Since October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought I would throw in some pinks. Here are two of my favorite new acquisitions. Deborah Lippmann's Makin' Whoopee and Pahlish Little Caroline from the Portal Collection.

I started with two coats of Makin' Whoopee. This is a very pretty almost neon pink with a strong blue flash. It is also a possible stainer if you don't have good base coat(s) on. I had two, Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator and Instant Artificials and my nails were still slightly pink when it came off. Maybe it was the combo...

I added two coats of Pahlish Little Caroline. Then I stamped it with ...I'm going to have to hunt it down... It was glowy and ethereal.

NailsIT October Trio

I made a few polishes for October. I like two of them. The third one I want to tweak a bit. But, here they are.

First up, P.Umpkin. Multiple sizes of silver hex and orange hex with a sprinkle of tiny silver holo in a clear base.

Here it is at one coat over a black and an orange creme.

Next is K.Korn. This is the one I want to tweak. I'm not a huge fan of the large squares. I think I may switch them out for small squares or octagons. It is a jelly orange creme with small gold holo, matte yellow hex, matte orange hex and large white square.

Finally B.Witched. Multiple colors of tiny glitter, including gold holo in a black jelly base. I have just two coats here. A black base coat would be great and you could use just one coat.

I had a lot of fun making these. What do you think of them?
Have a great day!

Darling Diva Dead Ringer plus

I have two Darling Diva polishes for you today. They are both gorgeous polishes and no photos do them justice in my opinion. The first one is Dead Ringer. I've worn it over one coat of Verity Deep Violet.

The second one is a gorgeous duochrome, holo polish. I wore it with three coats alone. I loved it this way. I will try it again over a darker color. I stamped with BM-311.
