Darling Diva Halloween 2012 and more

I received a few polishes in the mail from Darling Diva last week. I finally have pictures of them! I am, as usual, very happy with them. Most of these are from the Halloween 2012 collection that is currently available inspired by the movie "The Craft".

First up, Regulus. On her Etsy site, it is described as "a reddish jelly base packed with purple iridescent glitters and green glitter squares. There are also large red hexes interspersed throughout." It reminded me of a juicy watermelon.

I used two coats over one coat of OPI La Pazitively Hot. I topped it with Sally Hansen Insta Dri Top Coat (I used this in all the pictures today).

Next up, Antares. Described as "a blue jelly base with various blue and orange holo glitters as well some some blue and orange metalic glitters (some square) and blue to green iridescent shimmer." It reminded me of goldfish in a shimmering blue pond.

I wore it with no base and used three coats. Again with the Insta Dri top coat.

Next is Fomalhaut. "This is a black jelly polish with color shifting green to blue iridescent glitters. These glitters appear lit from within in low light."

I used one coat of Nails Inc. Kensington (a blackened teal) as a base.

Next is Manon. "Soft sage linear holographic with varying sized iridescent and holographic glitters." Mine has both octagonal medium shaped and diamond shaped holographic glitter.

I used a base of Sally Hansen Jumpin Jade for this. Three coats on all fingers except my ring finger. Two coats on it. I could have done two on all of them. The first two pictures are inside with diffused lighting. The second two are in bright sunlight.

Next is Aldebaran. "This polish has yellow, white, and purple hexes along with a good amount of larger white glitters. This also has a lit from within purple iridescent shimmer."

I used three coats over one coat of OPI Fit for a Queensland. The purple iridescent was very visible in the bottle, but was a bit shy on the nail. You can see a few here and there.

The next two are not part of the Halloween collection, but are currently available.
Fat Bottom Girls. "It's a very delicate pink sugar like glitter with iridescent and blue hexes scattered."

I used two coats over one coat of OPI You're Such a Kabuki Queen.

The last one is Release the Kraken. I love this one! "Multi colored rainbow matte glitters in a white jelly base. Also, I found a super pretty mini bright midnight blue metallic glitter that shimmers so pretty in this. I get compliments like you wouldn't believe with this on. So much prettier in real life."

I know there are two versions. I am guessing I have the second and current version. It is sooo pretty! I have two coats with nothing under it. Again, Sally Hansen Insta Dri top coat was used as in all previous pictures.

I would like to note that every one of these was smooth with just the one coat of Sally Hansen Insta Dri Top Coat. I was very surprised at that. I did notice some had a stronger/different smell than I'm used to with my older DDP polish, but I think it's just a different base maybe. I must say, I love love love a couple of these. I'm thrilled that she sent me a variety. I may not have chosen a couple of these on my own, but I love them now!

That's a lot of pictures! I hope you enjoyed them.

These polishes were sent to me for review, but it in no way effects my opinion.
Have a great day!
