Essie She's Picture Perfect

We had a family trip planned for Saturday. So, what did I do Friday? Cleaned house with no polish on. Brilliant right? And, the expected happened, I broke a nail, so I cut them all down. No big deal, I like them short from time to time. Seems like they are short a lot lately though. :)

I decided Essie She's Picture Perfect for a family outing would be great (there's always bound to be pictures!) It was thin and gloppy at the same time. I'm blaming that for the instant tip wear look.

I decided to stamp it with SdP-76. Then, I needed more color, so I dotted that with Jade Delirio Rosa and Sally Hansen Going Green. I liked the final outcome. My FIL even commented and asked me if a professional did my nails. Yes! Me! lol ;)

I've updated the Giveaway page with the latest info.
Have a great day!

  1. Girl this looks great! I loves it. I also noticed if I do things without polish on my nails it's a guarantee they will break :( This post makes me a little glad though that I held off on buying Picture Perfect since the formula seems iffy.

    1. Thank you so much! I love the color. I wish the shimmer showed up a bit better. I think I will tweak it next time.

  4. I like my nails shorter too. I want some white showing. But I sure don't want them grown out like I used to wear them in the 60's...and sure not as long as I wore then in the 80's when I 'did' acrylics. I love this shade. I put on the newer one that is more Blue - the Bikini one - I should KNOW not to buy blue creams that are light. I cannot pull them off - they look horrible on me. I thought Bikini had enough lavender to pull it off - nope and soon as I got it on I was looking for Picture Perfect of Play Date by Essie to pop a coat of one of those over and douse the blue. Like you stamping over this one too. I am really into this clean mani/pedi thing of late and love wearing just color, no stamping - sometimes doing an over-lay of another shade. I have come up with my own duochromes doing this by accident!

    1. Thank you! Oh, I'm sorry you don't like Bikini! I bet it's not as bad if you wear it a day ;)
I love layering as well. You can get some lovely unique colors that way.
